Comet Car Rental was launched in 1993 by Dave Halley, a former Director of Budget Rent-a-Car, with over 20 years experience in the Car Rental Industry. His highly trained and committed team are totally service orientated, and are ready to meet your Car Rental needs on a 24 hour basis.

In August 1997, a branch was opened in Johannesburg to cater for increased demand. Although still small relative to our Cape Town operation we have plans to grow in size and then expand to other regions.

We have also recently opened in Port Elizabeth to cater for increasing demand for one way rentals down the Garden Route.

Our Durban branch has shown good growth since it's inception on 1 September 2003 and they regularly receive compliments from satisfied clients.

Comet continually strives to make the customers' Car Rental experience a pleasure - our unique and very affordable Full Cover option where no excess is applicable for damages to the rented car, and the fact that we have no hidden charges are just two features that set Comet apart from the rest.

We will personally meet your flight at Cape Town, Johannesburg Durban and now Port Elizabeth Airport or deliver and collect your vehicle, free of charge, as you require. We look forward to being of service to you.
